How To Use This Site

This site is built with the BookStack wiki. The organisation of BookStack content is limited to four levels — Shelves, Books, Chapters, and Pages, which greatly simplifies site navigation. In addition, the book metaphor which is well known by nearly everyone, ensures that you can easily and logically move around the site just as easily as you would find your way around your favorite books.

  • COOL TIP: If you hold down the Shift key and press the question mark [?] at the same time you will make the keyboard shortcuts temporarily appear on screen.

Within a book you typically have Chapters. They provide an additional level of page grouping to keep pages organised. All the information is usually held within Pages that are part of Chapters. Although books and chapters do not hold the information the way pages do, they can be given short descriptions to assist with searching and visibility.

Shelves are used to organise content by broad categories as collections of related Books. Shelves can contain multiple Books and a single Book could be placed on multiple Shelves.

BookStack uses a colour coding system to help identify whether content or navigational links are Shelves, Books, Chapters or Pages, making them easily identifiable.
